Wedding Favors: Things to Consider

Going green with your wedding? The perfect green favor is handmade scented soaps in custom colors and all organic using local herbs and oils. They can be boxed, bagged, labeled and tagged with your names and date. We have a local artisian Bubbles and Bling, who uses all organic ingredients and not only does soap but yummy lotions as well. Wine or champagne bottles with the bride and groom's names and wedding date on a personalized label are also very popular. These come in different sizes and can be purchased by the case. Our UberVino guys have the best ideas, and the wine is from Fallbrook winery. They were offering wine tasting at our MML show March 14th  and the wine was yummy! Another great MML idea to help set your event above the rest!
A new idea that's gaining in popularity among environmentally conscientious couples is to present each guest with a tiny shoot of an endangered tree to be planted in honor of the bride and groom.

ROSE PETALS / RICE

Rose petals or rice are traditionally tossed over the bride and groom as they leave the church after the ceremony or when they leave the reception. Most venues seldom permit the use of either of these. Please ask about their policies, or consult your Wedding Coordinator. What, no coordinator? Well we have the best of the best here at the MML!
The environmentally correct alternative is to use grass or flower seeds, which do not need to be "cleaned up" if tossed over a grassy area. These come wrapped in attractive, recycled packages with the couple's names and wedding date printed on the front.
